Han River View Restaurants in Seoul: Four to Book
A Han River view is one of the easiest things for a Seoul restaurant to advertise and one of the harder things to actually deliver. Many rooms sell the river from a distance, at an angle, through a gap between two towers. The four below are the ones our notes could document as real river rooms, and they are not variations on the same evening.
They run from a 37th-floor hotel steakhouse down to a 45-year-old pork grill on a second floor, which means the choice is less about the view than about what you want the night to be: a course menu built for an anniversary, or lunch at a window table with a grill in front of you.
One thing is true at every address. The view belongs to the window seats, and the window seats are the scarce resource. Ask for one when you book, or arrive early enough to take one.
1. 숯. 더 붓처스 엣지
숯. 더 붓처스 엣지 (SUT. The Butcher's Edge) is the top-floor (37F) charcoal-grill steakhouse at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, a Nov 2025 rebrand of the hotel's former "37 그릴 앤 바" (37 Grill & Bar) built around a "fire / time / beef" aging concept and sweeping Han River views . It runs as several venues under one roof: an à la carte / course grill (often called "콘래드 37바," Conrad 37 Bar), a chef's-counter omakase ("The Butcher's Edge"), plus afternoon tea, mango bingsu, and a weekend brunch .

This is the view at its most literal: the 37th floor of Conrad Seoul, floor-to-ceiling glazing, and a panoramic run of the Han River and the Yeouido skyline behind the glass. The kitchen gives you something to look at indoors too. Grilling is done over 지리산 백탄, Jirisan white charcoal burned above 1,000°C, and the beef is aged three ways, by dry aging, beef-tallow aging, and cold aging, in four German Dry Ager DX 1000ps cabinets displayed in the room. Go for the room and the beef, and read the caveats before you commit to the full dinner price.
- The defining feature is 37th-floor floor-to-ceiling glazing with a panoramic Han River and Yeouido skyline view
- Cooking uses 지리산 백탄 (Jirisan white charcoal) burned above 1,000°C
- Beef is aged three ways (dry aging, beef-tallow aging, cold aging) in four German Dry Ager DX 1000ps cabinets displayed in the room
Window seats are not guaranteed even with a reservation; one blog states 창가석 지정 불가 yet the same writer got one by luck, so window placement is best treated as request-plus-luck. A recurring structural gripe is that the courses are relentlessly rich with no acidic/light break in the middle. At full dinner price the pushback is sharp; one diner would only revisit with a 50 percent discount.

2. 레스토랑괴르츠
레스토랑 괴르츠 (Restaurant Gortz) is a special-occasion Italian restaurant on the 7th floor of the JNC Building in Sangsu-dong, Mapo, whose entire reputation is built on a wide-window Han River night view and prix-fixe course dining aimed at couples and anniversaries. Multiple posts date the venue to a 1991 opening and describe it as a long-established "date landmark" (데이트명소) rather than a new trend spot.

The draw here is a seventh-floor wall of windows facing the Han River, and the useful signal is how specific the reviews get about it: people name Yeouido, the 63 Building, the National Assembly and Seogang Bridge from their table. That is the difference between a river view and a river glimpse, and it is why this room is repeatedly called one of the top real, not distant, river-view rooms in the area. It is also a prime seat for the Yeouido fireworks festival, which is worth knowing well before you try to book that night.

Window seats require booking at least two weeks ahead; a week out may leave only off-hours slots. Seatings are fixed 2-hour turns with no waiting area, so the format is less suited to long, unhurried business meals. At least one enthusiastic post in the evidence base is a disclosed sponsored review (#협찬).

3. 다이닝늘 홍대점(dining neul)
다이닝늘 홍대점 (Dining Neul Hongdae) is a 6th-floor European-style course restaurant in Sangsu-dong, Mapo-gu, whose entire reason for existing is a floor-to-ceiling panoramic Han River view paired with a multi-course dinner: the community treats it first as an anniversary / celebration destination and only second as a place to eat . Reviewers consistently frame it as an anniversary, birthday, and "special day" venue with a romantic sky-lounge atmosphere rather than a food-first fine-dining room .

A sixth-floor European-style course restaurant in Sangsu-dong, Mapo-gu, built around one idea: a floor-to-ceiling panoramic Han River view with a multi-course dinner in front of it. That is the whole reason the place exists, and the local consensus reflects it. The community treats Dining Neul first as an anniversary or celebration destination and only second as a place to eat, so book it for the occasion and let the food be the accompaniment rather than the headline.

The room sits on the 6th floor of an older-looking building whose exterior gives no hint of what is upstairs. A bar/counter zone is kept separate from the dining seats, which lends a private feel and makes conversation easy.

4. 장미의집
장미의집 is a 45-year-old cold/frozen-samgyeopsal (냉삼) grill on the 2nd floor of a commercial building in Yeouido, run by the same owner in the same spot since 1981 (opening as 장미만두, shifting to grilled pork from 1983), and made locally famous by a 2019 feature on the TV show 식객 허영만의 백반기행 . It reads as a retro, no-frills Korean pork house that trades on nostalgia and TV pedigree rather than modern polish .

The outlier, and the reason this list is worth reading twice. 장미의집 is a 45-year-old cold samgyeopsal grill on the second floor of a commercial building in Yeouido, and its standout spatial feature is a row of window seats with a Han River view. Those are the most sought-after tables in the room, and they were already fully occupied on a weekday before the lunch rush had even begun. No white tablecloth, no course menu, just a grill and the river, which for a certain kind of afternoon is exactly the right trade.

Closed Sundays and has a mid-day break from 14:00 to 16:00 that blocks mid-afternoon visits. No dedicated parking; the reviewer directs drivers to a public lot in front of the Woori Bank Yeouido North branch, a 3 to 5 minute walk away. Window seats were already fully occupied on a weekday even before the lunch rush began, so arrive before noon for a view table. The reviewer states plainly that it is not cheap for cold samgyeopsal.

Pick by format rather than by floor. A course menu with a river behind it reads as an occasion, and a window table over a grill reads as a good weekday. Both are on this list, at very different prices.
Whichever you choose, treat the window as a separate booking problem from the table. It is the one thing at all four addresses that cannot be ordered off a menu.
