Round Two Near Gangnam Station: Four Late-Night Seoul Picks

In Seoul a company dinner rarely ends where it started. The first round is the meal. The 2차, the second round, is where the table relocates to somewhere with later hours, more soju and less ceremony, and around Gangnam Station that second stop is practically its own industry. The useful question is not which restaurant is best. It is which room is still open late, which one can absorb a group that arrives without warning, and which one still lets you hear each other.

These four sit within a short walk of Gangnam Station, with one of them closer to Sinnonhyeon. We weighted late closing hours, group capacity and drinking-friendly formats, because that is what a second round actually needs. The caveats under each pick come straight from our research notes rather than smoothed over: closing times that disagree across sources, a promotion that has already ended, and one venue whose operating status we could not confirm at all.

1. Gangnam Gop

Gangnam Gop is a since-2009, six-consecutive-year Blue Ribbon Survey gopchang (grilled beef intestine) specialist tucked in an alley off Gangnam Station Exit 4, known for daily-butchered offal grilled to order across a two-floor dining room .

The default answer, and the closest one to the station. Gangnam Gop is a gopchang specialist in an alley off Exit 4, running since 2009 and named by the Blue Ribbon Survey six years in a row, with offal butchered daily and grilled to order across two floors. It markets itself straight at 회식 and 뒷풀이, the company dinner and the after-party, which is exactly the slot a second round fills. Plan around the crowd rather than the food: the room fills by about seven on weeknights, and reservations are reportedly not taken from Friday through Sunday, so a weekend group is walking in and waiting.

  • Open Monday through Saturday from 16:00 to midnight, with last order at 23:10.
  • Sunday service runs 14:00 to 23:00, last order 22:10, as listed on Naver Place at the time of our September 2026 check.

Reservations are reportedly not accepted Friday through Sunday, so a weekend 2차 is walk-in only. The room fills to capacity by about 7pm on weeknights, so expect crowding or a wait at prime 2차 hours. No private rooms; group privacy depends on full-venue rental. Some complaints cite small portions for the price and inconsistent service attitude. Naver Place lists it closed 9/24-9/25 for the Chuseok holiday; avoid those dates.

2. Sojei Seoul Main Branch

소제이 서울본점 (Sojei Seoul Main Branch) is an LA-style thick-cut beef rib and chive ox-tail-stew specialty grill near Sinnonhyeon station, a Busan Seomyeon back-alley original that expanded to a Gangnam "본점" (main branch) and serves everything tableside in a deliberately retro pojangmacha-style room .

The one that closes last. Sojei is a thick-cut beef rib and ox-tail-stew grill dressed as a deliberately retro pojangmacha room, a Busan Seomyeon back-alley original that planted its main branch up here. Staff grill the meat tableside from start to finish and narrate the cut-and-sauce pairings, which reviewers credit for a calmer room than a typical self-grill spot, and it means nobody in your party is stuck working the tongs while the conversation moves on. Round tables with generous spacing suit a circle of colleagues, and reviewers recommend it for a 회식 without being asked. The trade is distance and volume: it sits nearer Sinnonhyeon than Gangnam, and the room is loud by design.

  • Catchtable lists it open daily from 17:00, closing at 01:00 on weekdays and Sunday and 02:00 on Friday and Saturday, with last order at 24:00 or 01:00.
  • Listed amenities include group guests, venue rental and a waiting space.
  • Multiple reviewers explicitly recommend it as a 회식 (company dinner) venue, and round tables with generous spacing make the room workable for office groups.

It sits closer to Sinnonhyeon Station than Gangnam Station, roughly a 12-minute walk from Gangnam; check the group's route. The room is deliberately loud and packed at peak ('시끌벅적한 핫플 분위기'), so it suits a lively 2차, not a quiet talk. Weekend evenings can mean 30+ minute waits without a reservation, and Sunday hours conflict across sources, so call ahead for Sunday.

3. Yeongtong Baekhaap Kalguksu Gangnam Branch

A large, self-service baekhap (hard clam) kalguksu and shabu-shabu house two minutes from Gangnam Station exit 5, positioned by its own regulars as a group/company-dinner and drinking venue rather than a destination for refined food .

The light option, for a group that already ate well. This is a big self-service hard clam kalguksu and shabu-shabu house two minutes from Exit 5, positioned by its own regulars as a group and company-dinner room rather than a destination for refined food. Clam soup and pajeon land gently on a table that has already worked through a first round, and kiosk ordering keeps a large party moving rather than waiting on a server. Two things to settle before you send the group the address. Closing time disagrees across sources, and the free-drinks deal that gave this place its 회식 reputation was reported gone by early 2026.

  • It has been promoted as a Gangnam Station 회식 (company dinner) spot with a '4인 이상 소주 맥주 무료 이벤트', meaning free soju and beer for parties of four or more. See the caveat below before you count on it.

Our research notes record weekday closing extended to 02:00, but the most recent blogs confirm 23:00 with last order 22:00; if your 2차 will run late, call 02-588-0824 to confirm closing time. The unlimited soju/beer promotion for parties of 4+ was reported discontinued by February 2026, replaced by a one-bottle or porridge coupon via Naver reservation. Drinking crowds can make conversation difficult, and there is no dedicated parking.

4. 이자카야나무 3호점

강남역 10번 출구 도보 3분

The private-room answer, with a condition attached. Naver's booking page describes the third branch at Exit 10 as a 500-seat venue running from basement one up to the fourth floor, with B1, 2F and 3F given over entirely to rooms and used for company dinners, gatherings and meetings. A Gangnam company-dinner guide counts 45 independent rooms and puts the spend at 30,000 to 50,000 won a head, three minutes from Exit 10, with hours late enough to make a real second round. If your group wants a door it can close, nothing else on this list comes near it. The condition: we could not confirm it is still trading. The live status check came back with nothing, and the old official homepage went dark in June 2025. Call before you commit a table of colleagues to it.

  • Naver's booking page describes the Gangnam Station Exit 10 third branch as a 500-seat venue from basement one to the fourth floor ('지하1층~지상4층으로 500석 규모'), with B1, 2F and 3F composed entirely of rooms ('지하1층, 2층,3층은 전부 룸으로 구성되어') and used for 회식, 모임 and 미팅.
  • Hours are listed as daily 15:30 to 05:00 the next morning ('영업시간 : 15:30 ~ 05:00'), with a recent review of the sister Seocho location confirming '매일 15:30 - 다음날 05:00 (라스트오더 04:30)'.
  • A Gangnam hoesik guide cites 45 private rooms ('45개의 독립 룸') and late-night operation suited to a 2차, at 30,000 to 50,000 won per person, a 3-minute walk from Exit 10.

Its current operating status is unverified: our live status check this session returned no confirmation, and its old official homepage (modoo) shut down in June 2025. Confirm by phone or Naver booking before heading over. There is no elevator, so upper-floor rooms require stairs. Diningcode score is a modest 3.3 (15 raters): the draw is the private rooms and location, not destination-level food.

Several of these want a phone call before you commit a group: one to settle a closing time the sources disagree about, one to find out whether it is open at all. That is the honest shape of a second round near Gangnam Station, where rooms turn over faster than the pages describing them.

We weighted late hours, group capacity and drinking-friendly formats, because that is what a second round is for. Headcount and day of the week are what shorten this list to a single booking, so bring those two facts and the answer gets much simpler.
