Seoul Bars for the Second Round After a Team Dinner
A Korean company dinner rarely ends where it started. The first round is the meal. The second round, the 2cha, is where the table gets up, walks somewhere else, and the evening finally loosens. If you are the one organizing it, that second booking is the harder one: it has to take a group late, keep everyone within earshot of each other, and still be open when the restaurant starts stacking chairs.
The four bars below are the ones our research notes can stand behind for that specific job, and they solve it in different ways. One is a grill house that runs to midnight, one is a brewpub built around a wall of traditional liquor, one is a speakeasy cocktail bar with private rooms and buyout options, and one is a hanok-style pub with the best documented private-room record of the group.
Read the caveats under each entry before you put the plan in the group chat. Walk-in-only nights, minimum orders, and weekend waits are what turn a good second round into forty minutes on a sidewalk.
1. Gangnam Gop
Gangnam Gop is a since-2009, six-consecutive-year Blue Ribbon Survey gopchang (grilled beef intestine) specialist tucked in an alley off Gangnam Station Exit 4, known for daily-butchered offal grilled to order across a two-floor dining room .

Start with the clock. Gangnam Gop is a gopchang grill house in an alley off Gangnam Station Exit 4, open since 2009 and a Blue Ribbon Survey pick six years running, with the offal butchered daily and grilled to order. Kitchen and drinks run to midnight on weekdays, which is the whole argument for it as a second stop: you can arrive at nine and still order properly. The two-floor room explicitly takes company dinner and after-party groups, and it fills fast once 6:30pm passes, holding the loud, lively energy that a second round is supposed to have. Come for the grill and the noise, not for a quiet talk.
- Open daily: Monday to Saturday 16:00 to 24:00 with last order at 23:10, and Sunday 14:00 to 23:00, so it holds a second-round crowd until midnight.
- The room goes from largely empty to fully seated between 6:30pm and 7:00pm on weeknights, with a lively grill-house atmosphere.
- Online reservations are available through AutoReserve.
No private rooms: groups sit in the open two-floor dining room, which gets loud and crowded by 7pm. Friday to Sunday is walk-in only with no reservations accepted, so weekend 2차 timing carries wait risk. Some reviewers cite high prices, small portions, and inconsistent service attitude.

2. Songridan BrewPub
송리단양조장 (Songridan BrewPub / Songridan Brewery) is a second-floor traditional-liquor pub on Songridan-gil (송리단길) near Seokchon Lake in Songpa that brews its own makgeolli on-site and pairs it with Korean beef hot pots. Reviewers describe it as a cafe-like, "hip" drinking spot rather than a dim old-school makgeolli house, one that people come to drink at but end up eating a full meal in. It is repeatedly framed as a Songridan-gil / Jamsil "1-tier" tavern that has held a Blue Ribbon Survey listing for three-to-four consecutive years.

The one for a group that still wants to talk. Songridan BrewPub is a second-floor traditional-liquor pub on Songridan-gil near Seokchon Lake in Songpa that brews its own makgeolli on site and keeps a wall of roughly 100 traditional liquors, from distilled spirits and makgeolli to cheongju and yakju, alongside rotating house editions. It reads as a modern, cafe-like drinking room rather than a dim old-school makgeolli house, and the Korean beef hot pots are the reason people who came only to drink end up eating a full meal. There are group tables and a stated capacity of 58. One reviewer brought a company head here for a casual company dinner and found the room quiet enough for unhurried conversation, which is how it starts the evening before it turns pleasantly bustling. The earlier you land, the more talking you get.
- A wall of roughly 100 traditional liquors, covering distilled spirits, makgeolli, cheongju and yakju, plus rotating house editions.
- A reviewer used it for a casual company dinner with a company head and noted the room was quiet enough for unhurried conversation.
Closed every Monday per the current operator listing; Saturday hours run to 01:00, other nights to 24:00. Weekend peak (Sat 19:00-21:00) brings 30-40 minute waits, and no reservation channel could be confirmed, so arrive before 19:30. Open hall with no private rooms, and the signature house makgeolli is capped daily and runs sweet.

The late option, and the most composed. ChapterThree is a library-concept speakeasy in Cheongdam, entered through a hidden bookshelf door and built around 14 literature-inspired signature cocktails, a bespoke cocktail omakase and a whisky collection past 150 bottles. Doors open at 19:00 and the bar runs to 03:00, so it is the pick when the first round went long. Seating spans a bar counter, hall tables, booths and private rooms, and the private rooms carry no room charge, only a 100,000 KRW minimum order; for something larger, the bar sells full buyouts of all 54 seats or partial buyouts of the rooms and booths. Visitors describe a global lounge feel with a heavy foreign clientele, and with English-fluent bartenders it is the easiest of these four on a mixed-nationality team. Apgujeong Rodeo Station Exit 3 is a few steps away.
- Open daily 19:00 to 03:00 with last order at 02:30, 54 seats in total, and reservations by CatchTable or phone at +82-70-5202-4801.
- Seating spans a bar counter, hall tables, booths and private rooms; the private rooms carry no room charge but a 100,000 KRW minimum order.
- Full-venue buyouts of all 54 seats, or partial buyouts of the private rooms and booths, are available for corporate events with a minimum guest count and minimum spend.
- Listed among all-time favorite Seoul bars on Corner, described as an intimate library-themed cocktail den with literary-inspired drinks and an extensive whisky collection.
Food is light bar snacks only, so it works strictly as a post-dinner round, not a meal. Walk-in availability collapses at peak times; book ahead for a group. The small curtained private room is tighter than expected; ask for the larger room or hall booths.

4. Deogigwa Hapjeong Branch
더기와 합정점 is a hanok-styled Korean fusion pub (한식주점) near Hapjeong station serving bossam/suyuk-centered anju alongside a heavily promoted, SNS-viral makgeolli lineup (matcha, ube, tiramisu), spread across a ground floor, a second floor with private rooms, and a terrace .

The room-first option, with a condition attached. Deogigwa Hapjeong Branch is a hanok-styled Korean fusion pub near Hapjeong Station, serving bossam and suyuk-centered anju next to a heavily promoted makgeolli lineup that runs to matcha, ube and tiramisu, spread across a ground floor, a second floor of private rooms and a terrace. Booked in advance, one of those rooms held a 10-person company dinner comfortably, shielding the group from the other tables and letting junior and senior staff mix, and that is the best documented group fit on this list. Each second-floor room also has its own air conditioning unit and remote, the sort of detail that matters once a session runs long. It sits last here for one reason only: its current status could not be confirmed live, so make the call before you make the plan.
- A private room booked in advance handled a 10-person company dinner comfortably, shielding the group from other tables and letting junior and senior staff mix.
- Second-floor private rooms each come with their own air conditioning unit and remote, suiting longer, quieter sessions.
Current status is unverified: our live check returned no operator confirmation, so confirm by phone before committing; it ranks below the three verified picks for that reason. Waiting despite a confirmed reservation is documented on Friday and weekend nights. No dedicated parking; use nearby paid lots.

Pick by what the first round leaves you with. If the team is still loud and still hungry, Gangnam Gop until midnight. If people want to hear each other, Songridan BrewPub, early. If the night should feel like an occasion, or it is already past eleven, ChapterThree. If ten people need a door between them and everyone else, Deogigwa Hapjeong Branch, after a phone call.
These four span Yeoksam, Songpa, Cheongdam and Hapjeong, so the distance from wherever the first round happened is the one constraint this list cannot solve for you. Tell us the area and the headcount and it narrows fast. One timing note from this week's operator listings: several Seoul venues close for the Chuseok holiday around 9/24 to 9/25, so confirm hours if your company dinner lands in that stretch.
