Business Lunch Near Samseong Station: 4 Seoul Picks
A business lunch near Samseong Station has to clear two bars at once. It has to be close enough that nobody is late getting back, and composed enough that the person across the table reads the room the way you intended. Not many places around COEX manage both, and the ones that do are rarely the ones with the longest menus.
We read the question as a weekday lunch for a small party, since no date or headcount came with it. The four below run from most client facing to fastest: a basement Italian with bookable private rooms, a quiet partitioned room we researched live for this request, a Michelin-listed seolleongtang hall for the informal working lunch, and a gomtang house inside the Coex Mall for the day the calendar is winning.
Everything here comes from our research notes on each restaurant, with one entry built from a single local review found for this request. Caveats are included rather than smoothed over.
1. Mano Di Chef, Samseong
Mano Di Chef, Samseong (마노디셰프 삼성점) is a basement-level Italian restaurant near Samseong Station/COEX in Gangnam, built around a large multi-room floor plan (open hall plus small, medium, and banquet-size private rooms) rather than a single intimate dining room. It has carried the Blue Ribbon Survey designation for seven consecutive years (2020 to 2026) according to one visitor, and functions as a scale-flexible group venue, from a two-person date to 50 to 70 person banquets, more than a chef-driven tasting destination.

The default answer when the lunch is client facing and someone has to be able to book a private room in advance. Mano Di Chef sits close to Samseong Station Exit 5, and Italian reads neutral and polished across a table where nobody has declared a preference yet. It was verified open, with normal booking difficulty, when we checked.
- Tables are spaced generously enough that neighboring conversations do not intrude, and the lighting is warm and elegant.
Weekday lunch is reported packed with office workers, so reserve ahead. Smaller private rooms may carry a 400,000 KRW minimum spend. A mid-afternoon break around 3 to 5 PM closes ordering, so late lunches must be timed carefully. Operator hours show closure on Friday 9/25 for Chuseok.

2. 갓포아키 삼성점
서울 강남구 테헤란로 610 호텔글래드강남코엑스센터 지하2층
The most polished room on this list, and the one carrying the least verification behind it. A local reviewer describes wide spacing between the seats and private partitioned seating, which is the shape a business lunch actually wants. We found this one live for this request rather than in our existing notes, so treat it as promising and unconfirmed rather than booked.
- A local reviewer describes wide spacing between seats and private partitioned seating, calling it suitable for a business lunch meeting with work contacts.
Evidence rests on one detailed local review; the Catchtable page would not load this session, so current hours and status are unverified. Confirm by phone or Catchtable before relying on it. KakaoMap rating of 4.6 cited by the reviewer dates from June 2025.

3. Oegojip Seolleongtang
Oegojip Seolleongtang is a long-running Samseong-dong (Gangnam) seolleongtang specialist on a main road near Samseong-jungang station, known for an unusually clear, lighter-style broth made from domestic 1++ hanwoo and a decade-plus run on the Michelin Bib Gourmand and Blue Ribbon lists.

For the working lunch where the food matters more than the ceremony. Oegojip is a seolleongtang specialist on Samseong-ro, near Samseong-jungang station, pouring an unusually clear, lighter-style broth from domestic 1++ hanwoo, with a decade-plus run on the Michelin Bib Gourmand and Blue Ribbon lists behind it. The tradeoff is stated plainly: this is a hectic gukbap hall, not a room for impressing a client.
- Listed in the Michelin Guide Seoul as of March 2026.
- Open 11:00 to 21:00, with group reservations available by phone.
- Semi-partitioned tables make a casual two to four person business lunch workable.
- Weekday lunches draw a heavy office-worker crowd, and the room is described as hectic and packed.
Not suitable for formal client impressions; it is an open-hall gukbap restaurant. Closed every Sunday, and closed 9/24 to 9/25 for Chuseok per operator hours. Prices run higher than typical seolleongtang spots given the 1++ hanwoo and Gangnam location. Peak lunch timing risks noise and cramped conditions.

4. Hadongkwan
Hadongkwan (하동관) is an 87-year-old (since 1939) gomtang (Korean beef bone soup) specialist run only as direct-operated branches, with no franchising, with the original institution in Myeongdong and a direct-operation outlet inside Samsung Coex Mall (the branch this research file covers); the Myeongdong flagship holds a Michelin Guide Seoul "Good cooking" (Bib Gourmand) mention.

The pick for a lunch wedged between two meetings. The Coex Mall outlet of an 87-year-old gomtang house keeps the menu short and the ceremony shorter, and it is the fastest table near the complex when the calendar is the binding constraint.
- Food often arrives within minutes of ordering, and tables turn over quickly even through the stated weekday queue.
Last order is 14:30 with a break until 16:30, so late lunches are not possible. Walk-in only; weekday queues between 12:00 and 13:30 can be substantial, and the full party must be present before seating. The menu is only gomtang and suyuk, with no variety. Current status was not re-verified this session; it stays ranked for unmatched COEX convenience, and the verified picks above cover the bookable cases.

If the occasion is client facing, Mano Di Chef and 갓포아키 삼성점 read as the most polished of the four, with the difference that Mano Di Chef is the one we could verify. Oegojip and Hadongkwan are the stronger calls when the meeting is internal and the point is to eat well and get back.
One timing note. Chuseok falls on September 24 and 25: Mano Di Chef is closed on the 25th and Oegojip is closed on both days per operator records, so confirm hours if your visit lands in that holiday week.
